Gift Ideas, Day Ten

Regia (a German yarn company) has introduced some adorable children's books with a yarny theme.  Two of the books, shown here, are cute little stories that have sock patterns at the end.  The sock pattern is written for beginning sock knitters and has great pictures and clear instructions.  These two books are only $2. I think they're appropriate to give to your young friend who knows how to knit, and is ready to tackle socks, or you can give it along with the pair of socks you've knitted as part of the gift.  Either way, they're adorable.
