Thanks for the article...my dad was a "closet" knitter 45 years ago! When he was recovering from his first heart attack he was bored with the inactivity, so my mother taught him to knit. He spent every winter knitting sweaters for himself and the family...sweaters with designs on the back and front! However, he didn't have the patience to correct his mistakes, so my mother would do that for him!!! He even knit a fisherman's cable (many cables!) sweater for my niece!
