This is the Stitch Keeper by Rollie. It comes in different lengths (4", 5", 6", and 8") for needles sizes 0-3, 3-5, or 5-9. $6.50 each.
This is the DP WIP Tube (Double Point Work-In-Progress Tube.) (My brain says, "dip wip.") Anyway...it's expandable up to 10" long, and accommodated my 5 US 3 needles and hat-in-progress very easily. $9.00 for two.

I bought several sizes of the Stitch Keepers and they have worked great. I even use the larger size for my hats -- so they're not just for socks!
