Potluck Movie

Next Saturday (April 5th) is Movie Night, and we're going potluck! The movie is Office Space and dinner will be served at 5:00 pm.

Bring a dish to share. Beer and soda will be provided. If you so wish, post what you're bringing here and we'll get a good idea of what the menu will be like.

If you're already familiar with the movie, you should also come dressed wearing some pieces of flair.

Movie Night costs $5. Come and join us!

Next month will be The Devil Wears Prada.

Needlepoint

If you or any of your friends are interested in needlepoint, please pass on this information from Patti Mann.

MARK YOUR CALENDARS!!! APRIL 10, 11, 12 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day

Needlepoint is alive and well---even in Wichita! Every week I meet with local stitchers who ask me to custom design pieces, secure canvases from other designers, or help find beautiful fibers. So, I called some designer friends of mine and have arranged to show their work here in Wichita, at my home.

I'm exhibiting at the national needlepoint show in Dallas the first week of April, and I will bring back a nice assortment of new canvases from several of the top designers in the country. I'll have pieces from Melissa Shirley, Hyla Hurley at The Point of it All, Ricki Henry of Renaissance Designs, Barb Selders of Stitch Its, Janet Burnett of A Collection of Designs, Patty Bammarito of Patty Paints and Juli Poitras of JP Needlepoint. I'll share my entire line for 2008 with you, too. And if you like, I can arrange for the fibers to be pulled for you.
If you're interested, contact Patti for more information.

Call for Flowers!

I'm looking toward the next, great window display. We want to put pots of knitted & crocheted flowers in the windows.

Would you be willing to donate your time and a little yarn to the spring window display? Bring your flowers to the shop and we'll collect enough to plant in pretty pots come April.

Thanks!

This Saturday, there will be a St. Patrick's Day Parade through Delano. It starts at High Noon.

There will be a parking situation. The street will be closed from McLean to Seneca from 11 am - 1:30 pm. If you're parked in front of the shop at 11, you'll be stuck until at least 1:30.

In Honor of Mr. Rogers

"Won't You Wear a Sweater Day"

Mr. Rogers would have been 80 years old on Thursday, March 20th. The city of Pittsburgh is celebrating by asking everyone around the world to wear a sweater in his honor. Wear a sweater to SNB Thursday night. The organizers are asking for pictures, so let's represent!

A YouTube video of Mr. McFeely's Sweater Day Invitation is here.

Did you know his mom knit his zipper-front cardigans? True.
