Lara Teter designed the July sock, the lovely Bamboo Lace Sock.

Linda's Shawl

Linda was in last Thursday (the 12th), wearing a shawl she knitted. Everyone wanted to know the pattern, and she couldn't remember it! She went home and looked it up, then e-mailed it to me, so I decided to post it and share it, in case you saw it and also wanted to know.

Linda used Jawoll Superwash (a sock yarn by Lang.) The pattern is called Madli's Shawl, and was published in the Summer 2004 issue of Interweave Knits. (Sorry, guys, it's sold out - you can't get back issues of this one.) Look through your library or ask your friends for a copy.

KIP needs volunteers!

The local knitting group Wichita KIP (Knit in Public) meets at Twist monthly. KIP has a booth in the upcoming Common Threads Quilt Show.

KIP needs people to volunteer to man woman the booth during the weekend. It would involve sitting, smiling pleasantly, knitting, and handing out information about the group. Twist will spring for your $10 admission ticket if you want to be one of the lucky volunteers.

PS The shop will be open Sunday, June 22nd for Quilt Show attendees. 1 - 6 pm.
